i have had a terrible time reported to packard 7 months after purchas of the above real time clock stopped and reset to 1980

since then they have put three new motherboards in .

now they are telling me as i have siad ok you cant repaired it as per your extended contract or my consumer rights i want a new machine as i bought it as a package and the whole package does not do what it was intended for

they told me the fault was too small for them to replace never the less still faulty from new.

i have been in to them 34 times and now they tell me that real time clock is not part of the pc.

someone is taking the piss i think
so please anyone contact me if you have had the same problems with packard .

and all you experts can you help and tell me what this can effect on my pc and if it is part of the machine as i am going to stand up to packards on this one.

please help

What on earth has the above post got to do with Windows CE???

Of course a real time clock is part of PC motherboard!

I assume by your email address you are in the UK, so go and see the Trading Standards peole or Citizens Advice Bureu for heavens sake!

I agree that this is not Windows CE or Pocket PC related.

I am closing this topic.
