Is it possible to sync my mobile phone (calendar, contacts, notes) while I am using ActiveSync for internet sharing ?
I am using internet sharing to allow my laptop to access internet via a USB cable to my phone. When I plug in the USB cable from the laptop to the phone, an option appears on the phone to Sync or use Internet Sharing. If I select Internet Sharing I cant Sync at the same time
Is there any way around this - even a clumsy solution would work such as syncing via internet or bluetooth. I prefer to avoid Bluetooth as it is a heavy drain on the battery and makes the phone hot
Environment - HTC Touch HD phone. ActiveSync 4.5 build 5096 on PC. Windows Mobile 6.1
To share internet connection using Your Htc diamond you must have ActiveSync installed on your PC if you are using Windows XP or earlier. if you are using Windows Vista then it requires Windows Mobile Device Center. make sure you have the right program installed in your pc. and also have a look at HTc site for more help on Internet sharing. _________________ iedge
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately this did not help
I already know how to use Active synch to share internet and to synch my PDA
To rephrase my problem ... I would like to know how to be able to share internet AND synch at the same time.
At the moment, I have to stop internet sharing from the PDA, then synch, then restart internet sharing. This is a bit of a pain and after I do this a few times the internet sharing often stops working and I have to reboot the PDA.
