Does the ipaq 111 have an infrared port? It is not listed in the documentation so I am unsure.
I have purchased a palm universal wireless keyboard that works via the Infrared port. I downloaded the drivers and everything looks fine on the ipaq 111, but when I go to use the keyboard the error message is --
"Another program is using the IR port. Shut down this program."
However, I have shut down all programs. The only thing running is the keyboard under programs.
Can someone tell me where the IR port and how I disable the program or whatever is "using it" so I can use the keyboard.
Thank you for your time,
Go to Settings | Connections | Beam and un-check the box for receiving incoming beams automatically. Of course, if your device has no infrared port this will apply to Bluetooth... so as with my HTC Touch Elfin it would not work with an infrared keyboard, like my very nice Stowaway, sitting useless these days in a cupboard. I'm hanging onto that in hopes of one day seeing devices return to infrared, as Bluetooth has proven completely useless in my extensive efforts to make it work even once with a number of devices over the years.
