Hi All,

First of all, sorry If this question already got asked; I could not find it via the search. A few days ago I got myself an HP iPaq 614c. So far, I'm very happy with it, save for one little problem, which puzzles me. It needs to be said, that I'm very new to Windows Mobile, or to PDA-s in general.

The problem is that if I connect to my home wireless network, any program I that needs to access the Internet 'dials' the HSDPA connection, and uses that, despite the active wireless connection. Now, if I disable the phone in Wireless manager, all the programs can successfully access the Internet via the active wireless connection.

Is there a possibility somewhere in there, that would stop dialing HSDPA if the device already has access to the Internet?

Any answer would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi,
The issue may be around any open connections you have at the time your turn Wi-Fi on. Basically the existing connections will prefer the HSDPA connection over Wi-Fi iniitially.

Also, once you are connected via HSDPA, it should use the Wi-Fi connection instead.

Have you tried a GPRS counter to see which connection it is using?
