Hello, I have a HP H1930 Pocket PC running on Windows Mobile 2003 with a 206Mhz CPU, is the CPU not to small for WM2003 ?

I have a Pretec SD-Wifi card, will it run better on PPC2002 ? And a Targus Keybord, who doesn't really works on WM2003.

The HP H1930 has a SD I/O Slot, and a lot of functionalities that I'd like to keep, even on PPC2002.

Is it a good idea going on 2002 ? If yes, wich ROM to use? how to get it ? how to install it ?

Thank you

Unfortunately, the operating systems of Windows Mobile devices are not readily interchanged. There is considerable risk involved any time the user attempts to change the OS, especially when using non-official ROM images and installers. It is easy to make a 'paperweight' out of a previously usable device.

My recommendation would be that you consider very carefully whether you can find workarounds for any difficulties you are having with the device, before trying to install a custom ROM. XDA-developers forums have a lot of information about these sorts of things, including discussion of the many problems associated with upgrading or downgrading versions. The most important factor is that you do a LOT of reading, researching the issues very thoroughly before attempting such changes. As your device is quite old now, it is unlikely that HP has a ROM image available for you, which would match your button configuration and other features peculiar to that model.

Hi,
HP is the only company that can offer to downgrade your device. I suggest you contact them and ask. However given that this unit is almost 5 years old, they may not be able to do so.

Thanks for answering, I've correct most of my problems.
- I've purchased a new Ir keyboard for WM2003.
- I've check compatibility for the Wifi SD Card, it's also compatible
+ I've added a Bluetooth SD Card, witch I can use my bluetooth mouse and browsing through my computer anywhere at home.(use blue input for the mouse).
Everything is all okay Wink

Thanks guy
