I recently purchased an SDW-821 WiFi card for my Orange SPV M500 mobile phone, i installed the drivers and tried it, it seems to connect to my router but i can't access the internet as i keep getting the following error " the page you are looking for nannot be found"
I am not sure where i am going wrong, this could be with configuration but i am not sure what to change.
I would appreciate if anyone has a similar unit and knows how to get the WiFi card to connect to the internet using the router.
This is probably the most comprehensive tutorial/FAQ I have seen on the subject. Run through this page and see if your questions are not resolved:
The title indicates that it is Dell Axim specific... but it really is not.
Here is an introduction to a PDF you can download on setting things up on a PPC generally, including wireless configuration:

Thanks, i did the installation prior the insertion but still i can't get any further. I think there are some missing files on my device, i found the following link which resembles my connection manager and i realized that under my Advanced menu i don't have the "Network Card" displayed anywhere.
The other thing is that my screen has gone dark showing either USB or Serial when i connect and disconnect my mobile from my PC, this means i am stuck and can't go forward.
Your screen going dark, showing 'USB or serial' as you say, seems to indicate that in connecting to your PC you are triggering the response from the PPC which would go along with a ROM update. If I am understanding your report correctly, that is. I have only ever seen the screen of a PPC go dark and indicate the connection type when upgrading the operating system. If this is happening on merely connecting, not pressing the proper button sequence on the PPC to launch bootloader mode or something similar, then it seems there is something wrong in the connection, perhaps contaminated or broken connection(s).
You may still install drivers via CAB files if you can get them to the device on a storage card, but of course you would need to find the wireless card drivers in that installer format. Not always easy.
