Those who remember the early days of DOS remember how impressive it was that LapLink on a portable could install itself onto another machine over the link cable and then be able to transfer files.
Sure could use something like that built into the PPC - I could connect to a friend's computer through the USB or serial port (although, now that I think of it, my HP 568 didn't include the serial cable the 548 had in the box) and have ActiveSync install itself onto the host computer in guest mode, so I could copy files back and forth.
Any ideas, other than e-mailing files, hoping for an infrared port (I've never seen one on a desktop) or carrying around a CF ethernet card and hoping to find a free LAN jack?
